Raymond Osei – Community Liaison Assistant

Raymond Osei is a Ghanaian professional with a strong commitment to education and community development. With nearly a decade of teaching experience and active involvement in grassroots initiatives, he has a passion for nurturing young minds and fostering community growth. Born with a natural affinity for teaching, Raymond pursued a Diploma in Basic Education from the University of Cape Coast. He began his professional journey at Mama Abedu International School, where he served as a Mathematics Teacher for five years. His dedication and leadership earned him promotion to Assistant Headmaster, where he effectively managed academic and operational responsibilities.

Beyond the classroom, Raymond extends his influence to community development. He serves as a Community Liaison Assistant (CLA) with the International Development and Community Organization (IDECO). In this role, he acts as a vital link between IDECO and the communities it serves. His responsibilities include facilitating community meetings, conducting awareness campaigns, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and supporting the implementation of projects. Through his work with IDECO, Raymond has contributed to initiatives such as water projects, youth empowerment programs, and educational campaigns, all aimed at improving the lives of underserved communities.

In 2017, Raymond completed his national service at Akrofrom D/A Primary School, working as a Primary Six Teacher. During this period, he created a stimulating learning environment, instilling in his students a strong academic foundation. From 2018 to 2022, he transitioned to Akrofrom D/A JHS, where he served as a Science Tutor under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) program. Here, he inspired a love for science among junior high school students, encouraging critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.

Currently, Raymond works as a Professional Teacher at Kasotie D/A Basic School, where he specializes in Mathematics and ICT. By integrating technology into his lessons, he equips students with essential digital skills, preparing them to thrive in a technology-driven world. His approach emphasizes the importance of both academic achievement and practical skills, ensuring his students are well-rounded and future-ready.

At the heart of Raymond’s endeavors is a firm belief in the power of education and community involvement to drive meaningful change. Whether he is teaching a classroom of eager students, collaborating on a community project, or spending time with his family, Raymond approaches every task with passion, professionalism, and a vision for a better future.

Through his dual roles in education and development, and as a dedicated husband and father, Raymond Osei embodies the values of service, leadership, and compassion, making a lasting impact on both his community and the next generation.
